Cade Holmseth LMT, BCMT, grew up in Minnesota where he continues to reside and pursue his passions. He received a BFA in Dance from the University of Minnesota and a degree in massage and shiatsu therapy from Center Point School for Massage & Shiatsu. Shortly after graduation he connected with Stuart Pimsler Dance & Theater where he spent 7 years performing, teaching and doing community outreach work.

Over the years he has been able to work with many of the prominent dance companies in the Twin Cities including Shapiro & Smith, Arena Dances and others in over 100 different productions at most of the prominent venues in the Twin Cities and some around the east coast and Bermuda.

He has also spent time over the years developing full length dance works with casts of dancers under the name Cade Holmseth Dance.

Outside of dance he has indulged a side passion for the aerial arts with aerial silks and lyra, but has been expanding since the early years to include trapeze, acro-balancing, aerial chains and fire breathing/spinning to name a few. He is glad that this passion has been able to grow and become a part of his daily life and professional career.

In 2007, he partnered up with Marissa Dorschner to create a performance duo called 2 Defy Gravity. Their specialties include solo performances and as a duet up on the various apparatuses mentioned above.

Since 2012 he has been building a school to teach the aerial arts to adults in Northeast Minneapolis. The program is focused on developing skills to progress from the absolute beginner all the way to the professional level and has had fun including focus on performance and character. In his pursuit of always learning, he is currently working to compile a compendium of all the aerial silks skills he can get his hands on.
