Nathalie Crowley is facilitator and co-founder of the Lake Superior Transgender Groups and provides training and education to medical and mental health providers and other organizations concerning Transgender and LGBTQ issues, with a focus on providing accessible wellness care to Transgender individuals in rural areas. Nathalie also served as president of the Queer and Allied Student Union at the University of Wisconsin- Superior, co-chair of the LGBT student organization at St. Cloud State University. She has been active within the LGBTQ community since she came out in 1991. Nathalie also sits on the YWCA – Duluth board of directors. In addition to her activist and educational work Nathalie was the Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) Program Coordinator at PAVSA in Duluth with experience working in and with rural healthcare systems and a passion for ensuring compassionate patient centered care for all victims of sexual assault.  Nathalie has over eight years of human resource experience at Essentia Health in Duluth. In 2013 Nathalie was honored with the 2012-2013 University of Wisconsin Superior woman of color in Education award and a Duluth News Tribune 20 under 40 award for her work in the Duluth/Superior community.  In 2014 OutFront Minnesota presented Nathalie with their Community Innovator Award for her work with rural transgender communities and sexual assault. Nathalie also won the 2012 Minnesota State Fair blue ribbon in the largest zucchini contest.
